Orthopaedic Surgery North West London
At Mr. Jig Patel's
Orthopaedic Surgery based in North West London he has the ability to treat
conditions such as trochanteric bursitis.
Trochanteric bursitis is the swelling of the small fluid sac located to
the side of the hip. This small sac releases fluid which lubricates bones, tendon,
ligaments and muscles. When the sac swells, the increase in friction causes hip pain.
Trochanteric bursitis can be caused through a variety of reasons, most commonly
being that of a direct fall on the side of the hip.
The main symptoms of trochanteric bursitis are hip pain, thigh pain and difficulty
in walking.

Mr. Jig Patel FRCS can also perform anterior cruciate ligament surgery, which involves
substituting the orginal cruciate ligament with the patient's own patella or hamstring
tendon.
Anterior cruciate ligament injuries are usually caused through sport and cannot
heal themselves. The main sypmtom is the feeling that the knee is unstable.
