meniscectomy. This is where an arthroscope and other tools are used to remove
damaged meniscus in the knee. An arthroscope is a tube the diameter of a pencil
that has a light on the end that projects an image of the inside of the knee onto
a monitor.
The arthroscopic meniscectomy procedure is usually carried out when there has been
damage to the knee cartilage.
